Housing 101 advised a client how their the family house could be converted into dual occupancy with NDIS compliance, as well as, provide a significant income.
Unfortunately, the current premise was no longer suitable to the Client's needs and they had no desire to leave the area. Without increasing the footprint and working collaboratively with the Client, Housing101 provided plans to subdivide part of the family house, establish a one-bedroom High Physical Support Unit, with the remaining balance of the home, still fully accessible.
Part of the existing Living Room was converted into a balcony so the Client could also enjoy the tropical environment and provide outdoor living space. Also, the internal courtyard was converted into a carer's room and own bathroom.
The process was made simple for the Client, with all the hassles of building taken care of.
